Description: The Port of Ajman is located on the Gulf coast approx 8km NE of Sharjah. General overview: Numerous fishing vessels and dhows operate from the port.

NAVIGATION
Approaches: Ajman is entered between 2 training walls, curving N from the coastline, the entrance channel has
                          been dredged to 7.2m.


Anchorages: Anchorage offshore is not recommended, irregular ridges of sand, shell and dead coral, with depths
                          of less than 10m over them, extend up to 2.5nm offshore.


Navigation aids: A light is exhibited at the head of each training wall.

Tugs: Available.

Restrictions: Pilot age Available. Pilot boards 3 miles N.W. of breakwater. Require 48 hours notice before arrival.
                           Max size: Largest vessel handled: LOA 112m, draft 4.7m.


Berthing: There is a total quay age of 5,200m having a max depth alongside of 4.9m. Facilities exist for
                     the accommodation of ro-ro vessels.


Storage: There are warehouse space of 7,200m2 and open storage space available.
